The Other Side of Society

The educated and posh.

                  I never thought I'll be going to my first ever summit/conference. A virgin to this kinda outing. Loser. But I have to start somewhere. Basically, this leaders summit is a gathering of great minds and potential of the next generation to nurture and empower them. There are about 800 participants from local uni to abroad. At first I was honestly intimidated because in UKM I have never been to this intellectual formal meetings. hella, i'm not a lawyer. (Although i may come off as one).  But to brush shoulders with 500+ people in perfect grey/black suits are supa supa freakish intimidating. I felt i was at wallstreet, A.S. Kind of.
                  The good thing about people there are, they are looking for ways to change things. To understand. To gain experience. To reach out. Memang, They are well off. They are preppy. I bet you they led a comfortable life. But they wanna do something. Something that can shake and change things. We discussed about empowerment towards the rakyat, how proper education can basically change everything and how communication plays a vital role in translating the message across. Yeah, it was all very big yet it must be discussed.
                Personally, i like to absorb and observe other people's interpretation of the "calling". To me, everyone is put on this earth for a certain purpose. Some want Malaysia to become the highest earning nation, some want to bridge the gap of rich and poor, some want to help the needy, some want to educate and motivate people, some want to be one with God, some want to get 4flat for their cgpa, some want to get married and have kids, some want to become nothing spectacular, some just want to be left alone and some just get by to live and see tomorrow.
              Thus, we as individuals MUST RESPECT what others live for. There is no right or wrong in the purpose of us living. Point is, the diversity of  "callings" complements and complete each other in this complicated universe we call ; world.
